Wildlife Wranglers: How Will Wolves Survive?


Feature Documentary (90 min.)

 

While making a TV series about raising cougar cubs, Wildlife Wranglers raised wolf pup Aurora. This feature film sequel is about raising Aurora and her new mate Timber and their working in wildlife films.



Sadly, Aurora dies from cancer and Timber’s next rescued mate Willow also dies of cancer. But Timber’s next mate Summer, after a long period of courting, ends up being the new love of his life.

Wolf Crossings


Documentary (1 hour)

Research and controversial initiatives being undertaken by government are revealed about controlling wolves using helicopters, poison, and experimental techniques to try and stem the plummet of Cariboo populations in Northern Canada. Environmentalists contend the actual reason is destruction of wilderness areas by multinational oil companies. What are the solutions?

Feature Film (90 min.)

Do monsters and aliens really exist or are they just a metaphor for what man is capable of at his worst?
Could a lost young woman with mental disabilities really have been raised as a wild child by a wolf pack?
Could her ex-boyfriend, a Wolfwalker, become human when angry and kill in the wake of her escape?

The young woman finds help from a broken family that by helping her, ends up also helping themselves.

Tourism Video (4 min.)

Since prehistoric times, people have been attracted to outdoor adventure experiences creating stunning images of the unique landscapes of Drumheller. A serious photographer with new camera gear boards a helicopter at Horseshoe Canyon. As he flies, he daydreams and visualizes himself in scenes throughout the history of Drumheller, from early carver and painter to tourist and movie cinematographer...

Starland Film Festival


Special Event (2 days)


It will screen films about natural history, wildlife, agriculture, energy, veterans, and people with disabilities, with accompanying music, art, food, and drink festivals. It will also involve a media business trade show.


It was previously successfully held in Kindersley, Saskatchewan and is being moved to Drumheller, Alberta.
