November 17 is an important day for Starland Studios.

With the support of Community Futures Big Country and Reality Bytes, the launch of the company and their website, is at 7:00 p.m. at the Napier Theatre in Drumheller, by invite.

"Film industry and tourism are great compliments to each other, we couldn't pick a better place to launch our company globally than a great world class tourist destination like this area," said president of Starland Studios, Matthew Todd Paproski.

Starland Studios will host TV films and movies on their site.

"My specialty has been wildlife films and documentaries. My TV show Wildlife Wranglers spawned out of a special we did called Cougar Crossings, we've done some fire and rescue shows, one with William Shatner. I really like the ones involving wildlife and natural history, it's a good way to get outside and try to make films that make a difference."

Paproski has served in the military and been a firefighter, actor, journalist and filmmaker.

Community Futures is funded by Western Economic Diversification Canada and has been supporting small business and rural economic diversification since 1986. The Big Country office, located in Drumheller, is one of 27 located across rural Alberta out of 269 offices across Canada.
